Pamplona to Puenta la Reina (Trip 8 / Camino 5)

October 8, 2017

My calves calmed down a little but were still golf ball tight, I was wary about the walk today given there was a 3kms steep decent. I decided to walk out of Pamplona and I’m glad I did because it is very pretty and then caught a taxi to the halfway point of the day Uterga and walked the last 11kms from there. I did feel a little guilty but it was a good move on my calves behalf.  This walk will teach many things and I’m learning that one of them is to know your limitations.

The countryside has changed to open farmland now and the paths were good although less peeing spots.  It’s funny how you’ll find a great spot where you are hiding from those on the path but in full view of the road.  Chatted to a Canadian girl for a while in Muruzabal. Pleasant walking today but my feet are still hurting.
