It was so nice to have a lazy morning, although it was raining again (but lightly). I headed off to the Otway Fly Treetop Adventures to go zip-lining. The park is about 45kms which is about an hour from Apollo Bay, in the mountains obviously, up through beautiful rainforests and stunning scenery. The zip-lining was great fun, there are 8 cloud stations (the spots where we hang around the trees), 6 flights and 2 suspension bridges. It wasn’t quite the exhilaration of the zip-lining I did in Argentina because the lines weren’t as long or as fast but that also involved us having to do our
own braking. But it was beautiful scenery and a really good group. Then we did the treetop walk which is (according to their blurb) the world’s longest and tallest steel trussed treetop walk. Average height is 30 metres, cantilever bridge and the spiral staircase peaks at 47 metres….yeeha, just amazing. The great bit was that the weather cleared just before we started and it was almost blue sky. Beautiful trees and a fun day.
